About Us
Through a grant from the Small Business Development Administration (SBA) and as the lead Small Business Development Center (SBDC) for Northeastern California’s network of five local SBDC’s services are provided to strengthen the small business community network and promote economic growth within the twenty-three counties. The lead SBDC and five SBDC’s provide business consulting and training to all small business populations.
Economic Impact
Each year, the Northeastern California SBDC Program contracts with an outside 3rd party to conduct an economic impact report on the activities of our five SBDC service centers. A copy of this report is available: 2010-2011 Economic Impact of Small Business Development Center Counseling Activities in Northeastern California Survey.
SBIR and STTR Programs
Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer is a 3 phase government funding program to help small businesses grow. The SBDC is here to assist in helping small businesses get involved in this program in order to develop these small businesses as well as the local economies in which they reside.
Our mission is to build capacity within the CA SBDCs and iHUBs to effectively provide consulting services to SBIR/STTR clients or potential SBIR/STTR clients.
